PLACES THAT MAKE US SET OFF
Five areas. One silver journey.
Discover Egypt as few people know it. This exclusive week-long expedition is not a classic diving safari – it is a combination of first-class comfort, exceptional sites and an atmosphere you will never forget.
A unique route awaits you through the legendary areas of Ras Mohammed, Tiran Island, the famous SS Thistlegorm wreck, Abu Nuhas and Gubal Island. Sites that are not usually combined within a single cruise create an unforgettable experience for experienced divers and lovers of the Red Sea alike.
For the whole week you will stay on an elegant and spacious boat with exceptionally comfortable cabins, plenty of space for rest and relaxation between dives, and first-class service throughout the trip. Culinary delights are provided by excellent Italian cuisine, which gives the whole expedition a touch of Mediterranean luxury.
Our instructors and divemasters will be available to you throughout, and will be happy to help if you have any problems and answer your diving questions.
Tiran Island – an area at the entrance to the Gulf of Aqaba, known for its iconic reefs Jackson reef, Thomas Reef, Woodhouse Reef and Gordon Reef. The sites offer beautiful coral walls, stronger currents and abundant pelagic life. You can often see schools of barracuda, jacks, turtles, rays and, with a bit of luck, even sharks. Thanks to the excellent visibility and dramatic underwater terrain, Tiran is among the most sought-after diving areas in the Red Sea.
+Diver by the bow of the Giannis D wreck at Abu Nuhas
SITE / 02
Abu Nuhas
Abu Nuhas – the reef that became the fate of four ships: Giannis D, Carnatic, Marcus, Kimon, all at depths of up to 32 metres.
+Deck of the SS Thistlegorm wreck with a winch and schools of fish
SITE / 03
SS Thistlegorm
The famous wreck of the wartime cargo ship Thistlegorm, sunk during a German air raid together with its entire cargo of military supplies – a locomotive, military and armoured vehicles, weapons, ammunition, infantry equipment, etc.). The maximum diving depth is 30 metres and, if the weather is good, we will also do an amazing night dive here.
Shark Reef, Yolanda Reef and Satellite Reef make up three peaks. At this site you will see the sunken toilets and mast from the wrecked Yolanda ship. Away from the reefs you can observe a colourful variety of batfish, barracuda, snappers, trevallies and much more. Inside the reef, on the other hand, you will swim into a cleaning station for rays and turtles.
The Rosalie Moller wreck is a sister ship of the Thistelgorm wreck. The highest point of the wreck lies at a depth of 35 m and drops to 50 m. The wreck is covered with soft and hard corals, which serve as shelter for many shoaling fish such as batfish and mackerel. The Gubal Island area is a remote part of the northern Red Sea known for its combination of coral reefs and fascinating wrecks. The area is characterised by a calmer atmosphere, excellent visibility and frequent sightings of dolphins, moray eels, lionfish and large schools of fish.
We choose specific locations and dives according to the weather, conditions and the group's qualifications. The stated depths describe the locations; they are not a dive plan for every participant.
Two to four dives a day. The detailed schedule is being prepared and may change depending on the weather; the individual areas are introduced in the Sites section.
