Try diving on a semi-closed SCR breathing circuit and let an experienced instructor introduce you to the world of modern diving technology. The Try SCR programme gives you a unique opportunity to try this type of diving in safe and controlled conditions.

Get to know the semi-closed circuit.
To begin with, you will learn the basic information about how the SCR system works, its benefits and the differences compared with conventional open-circuit (OC) diving. The instructor will explain the operating principle of the equipment, the correct use of the system and everything important for your safety underwater.

Your first experience.
The Try SCR programme is designed for certified divers who want to find out whether semi-closed circuit diving is suitable for them and gain their first experience with this technology.
At the end of the programme you will receive a small reward from us, and if SCR diving interests you, we will be happy to advise you on follow-on training that will allow you to continue developing your skills.

What

Is SCR diving safe?
Yes! When the correct procedures and rules are followed, SCR diving is completely safe.
Do I need my own equipment?
No. You can hire equipment either at the diving pit or from our fully equipped Equipment hire centre in Dejvice.
How does breathing with SCR differ from OC?
The air is warmer, more humid and more pleasant to breathe.
What is SCR?
SCR is a semi-closed breathing circuit that recycles part of the exhaled gas and continuously adds fresh gas mix.
How soon after payment can I start?
Usually within 1 working day we will activate your access and contact you to arrange the lesson.

From Zanzibar to teaching. He shares his passion for diving through courses and social events.
He first got into diving on holiday in Zanzibar, where he walked round the dive centre for so long that he eventually “accidentally” wandered inside. He was lucky enough to have a great local divemaster, who probably thought diving had to totally captivate him – and it did so without exception.Before his holiday even ended, he was already signed up for the OWD course, which marked the beginning of his diving journey.
Since then, he has completed dives in quarries and at sea, and discovered that he absolutely loves working with people and passing on his enthusiasm for diving. This was followed by the Divemaster and Open Water Instructor courses, thanks to which he can now meet other divers at courses and events.
P.S.: As the divemaster in Zanzibar would say: “Hakuna Matata”.
The course does not
end with us.
Divers Direct regularly organises one-day and weekend Events and diving expeditions for members of its club. And you can continue with follow-on courses right at these events.
