    You will get to know a suit best underwater. At Leštinka, you have the whole weekend for trying things out, asking questions and diving with the group. Don't have a dry suit certification yet? You can gain your first experience under the guidance of an instructor and, by arrangement, continue with the SSI Dry Suit course.

    Locations and group dives.

    Leštinka above and below the surface

    Meeting point: Horka 53, Leštinka quarry near Skuteč, 539 73. Coordinates 49.841230, 15.973971. The former granite quarry offers access to the water via steps, refreshments, camping and accommodation.

    Under the surface you will find a caisson and a flooded open-air museum with houses, tracks, mining carts and tools; the description lists sections at approximately 13–20 metres. The original text gives different depths for the caisson, so please discuss the specific dive plan with the instructor.

    The local wildlife includes koi carp, pike, perch, bream, sturgeon including an albino, catfish, mussels and crayfish; with a bit of luck, freshwater jellyfish too.

    Arrival in the afternoon or evening, a get-together and equipment preparation. Enthusiasts can go for a daytime or night dive, depending on conditions.

    Dry suits from these manufacturers will be presented at Leštinka. Divers instructors and divemasters will help with selection and testing. The organiser will confirm the exact sizes and quantities during September.

    Courses and tastings.

    The trial fee is 500 CZK as a one-off payment for the whole event. If you do not have dry suit certification, a trial dive with an instructor costs 500 CZK. This amount will be deducted when you book the SSI Dry Suit course on site.

    The discounted full SSI Dry Suit course costs 5,490 CZK. Please let us know your interest in advance so that training can be scheduled; depending on availability, you can also decide after the first try on site.

    ALL THE IMPORTANT THINGS IN ADVANCE

    What is included. And what extra.

    Included in the event price

    • The original offer states up to two nights in your own tent or car, instructors and divemasters as required, entry fees according to the chosen price, and hire of drysuits with accessories for testing. Additional accommodation is available on request.
    • Meals listed are Saturday lunch, a snack, barbecue and Sunday breakfast. The grill is available throughout the event. The exact menu is being prepared. The scope of services depends on the selected option and length of participation.

    Participation options

    You can come for Saturday, Sunday, Friday–Saturday, Saturday–Sunday or the whole weekend Friday–Sunday. In the original booking, you select the length of stay, whether you have or want the Dry Suit course, and whether you want to test suits. Not all combinations are available.

    The total prices of the options in the original offer are CZK 880–9,480. The amount in Shark alone does not determine a specific package; we will confirm the option and final price when arranging the booking.

    Booking, deposit and cancellation

    The original terms require advance booking and a CZK 2,000 deposit by bank transfer. The balance is to be paid one month before the first day of the event. If cancelled one month before the event, the deposit can be transferred to another event, goods or course. If cancelled within the last two weeks before the event, a 50% cancellation fee of the total price is stated; the organiser recommends finding a substitute participant.

    About a month before the event, the organiser gets in touch with details and asks for your measurements. An enquiry without obligation in Shark does not replace booking or payment. For cheaper options and bookings after the balance payment deadline, please confirm the payment procedure with the organiser; the original text does not distinguish these cases.
