WHAT THE QUALIFICATION OPENS UP FOR YOU
The aim is the appropriate SSI professional qualification after meeting the requirements of the given level. A crossover is not an automatic progression to a higher grade, nor merely a card exchange.
You have your own way of working, experience with students and a qualification from another training organisation. The crossover is an opportunity to build on what you already know and get to grips with the SSI system so that you can use it naturally in your work.
We will focus on the programme structure, working with digital materials, standards and documentation. We will also discuss practical situations: how to prepare a student for a lesson, where to verify the requirements of a specific programme, and how to organise teaching in conjunction with the centre.
The scope of the transition is based on your current level and documented experience. That is why we do not start with a universal promise of a number of days. We first verify the equivalence of the qualification, then together we set out a specific plan for preparation and assessment.

We will go through your existing specialisations one by one. Transferring a basic professional level does not necessarily mean transferring all instructor qualifications automatically. That way, you will know in advance the scope of the outcome and the whole budget.

We will arrange the date, preparation and scope of the meeting according to the entry level. Before confirming the offer, we will clarify any possible IE follow-up and further evaluation.

Before starting, the trainer will verify the current SSI requirements, recognition of equivalent qualifications and the necessary documents. For active professional practice, medical fitness, first aid, oxygen, professional registration and other conditions according to the level are also addressed.
No. You need to familiarise yourself with SSI rules and way of working and meet the requirements of the target programme. The scope of practical and theoretical assessment depends on the specific level.
Will all my specialities be transferred?+
We assess each authorisation according to the relevant rules. Please send an overview of instructor specialities together with your basic professional qualification.
Do I have to take the instructor exam again?+
For the crossover to Open Water Instructor, the current standards include Instructor Evaluation. For other levels, the scope is different. We will verify the exact requirements before putting together the offer.
Can I gain a higher qualification through crossover?+
The crossover is based on the corresponding recognised level. If you want to progress further, we will also propose the relevant follow-on training with the crossover.
What should I send you first?+
The titles and copies of professional certifications, an overview of specialities and experience, and information on which programmes you want to teach within SSI. We will request sensitive documents for registration only in follow-up communication.
Do I need to arrange anything else after certification?+
To operate actively, you must also meet SSI professional and administrative requirements. We will go through the specific procedure and related fees during the preparation.

School management, divemaster and instructor training. Nitrox and Science of Diving.
Adam leads the Divers Direct diving school and, as an SSI Instructor Trainer, focuses on divemaster and instructor training. He looks after the quality of teaching and the development of Divers Direct. Adam began his professional career in 2009 in Czech waters as a PADI Divemaster and later an Instructor (Master Scuba Diver Trainer). From 2010 to 2011, he also worked at the Lighthouse dive centre in Dahab, Egypt.
In the Czech Republic, he focuses primarily on professional diving candidates and leads the Instructor Training Course including preparation for the Instructor Evaluation. He works with current instructors on their further education, speciality courses and professional updates. In addition, he enthusiastically teaches Enriched Air Nitrox and Science of Diving courses.
In addition to teaching, he enjoys wreck diving in his free time, and is interested in caves and ice diving.
