    1. STEP 01 / 04

      We meet at the pit

      No previous experience is needed. At the diving pit you will meet the instructor, the equipment and the rules. We will explain everything you need for your first dive.

    2. STEP 02 / 04

      First breath

      In the shallow part you will slowly get used to breathing from the regulator. The instructor is with you and you set the pace together. You will have time to take in the new world beneath the surface.

    3. STEP 03 / 04

      Your first dive

      You will try moving around and, if you feel like it, a few exercises too. The depth will be chosen by the instructor according to your comfort and how the dive unfolds. Reaching the bottom is not the aim of the experience.

    4. STEP 04 / 04

      Memories to take away

      At the end you will receive a small reward and we will send you the photos within two weeks. If diving gets you hooked, you will get a discount on the full course. The try scuba diving is an experience; certification requires further training.

    • Entry to the other areas of the aquapark is not included in the programme.

    Bring swimwear, a towel and something to drink. After purchase, you will book your date in the calendar.

    Before you
    dive in.

    What do I need to bring?

    Swimwear, a towel and something to drink. We will lend you the diving equipment.

    Is it for complete beginners?

    Yes. You do not need any previous diving experience. The instructor will explain everything you need and you will start in the shallow area.

    Do I have to go all the way to the bottom?

    No, you do not. The pit is 8 metres deep, but reaching the bottom is neither the aim nor a requirement of the experience. You and the instructor will adjust the depth and pace to suit your comfort and skills.

    Can children come?

    This programme is for ages 15 and over. For children aged 10 to 14, the school offers special lessons; arrange a suitable programme at potapeni@divers.cz.

    How do I book a date?

    First, order and pay for the dive. Then, in the Divers booking calendar, select the available red Try scuba diving slot. You will receive confirmation and organisational details by email.

    What if I cannot come?

    Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance, or 24 hours in advance in the event of a serious injury. We accept dive cancellations only by email at potapeni@divers.cz. For later cancellations, we charge a cancellation fee of 350 Kč/person.

    What if I have health restrictions?

    Please sort out your medical fitness with the school before booking and, if necessary, with your doctor. In particular, please note pregnancy, heart problems, high blood pressure, more severe diabetes and chronic sinus issues.

    Will I get an OWD certification after the Try scuba diving?

    No. This is an experience with an instructor. After the experience, you are not qualified to dive independently. If you want to dive with a certified buddy, you can continue with the full Open Water Diver course to 18 metres.
