    Mermaid preparatory class / 01

    Trained instructors, who are also swimming instructors, help children develop their swimming technique, movement with a monofin and the basics of breath-hold diving. The programme is suitable for girls and boys.

    The club runs in school half-terms: September to January and February to June. The specific timetable and any make-up sessions are arranged with the instructor.

    A personal monofin and costume are required. Rental is not included in the price; the source offer states CZK 800 for the set for one lesson. Please confirm the conditions before buying. From age 12, you can continue with the SSI Mermaid course.

    NO QUESTION IS TOO SILLY

    Before you
    dive in.

    Is the monofin included in the price?

    No. You need to have your own monofin and costume. Hire of the set is available according to the offer for 800 CZK per lesson.

    What if we cannot attend the lesson?

    Please cancel the booking ideally 48 hours in advance and arrange a replacement with instructor Petra at petra@divers.cz.

    How do I choose a date?

    Choose a date at divers.cz/rezervace in the relevant section. You will receive confirmation and organisational information from the school. Select the orange preparatory class for younger children or preparatory class for older children dates according to age.

    Will the child receive SSI Mermaid certification?

    The preparatory course ends with a diploma. The separate SSI Mermaid certification course follows from 12 years of age.

    Divers Direct regularly organises one-day and weekend Events and diving expeditions for members of its club. And you can continue with follow-on courses right at these events.

    Our own 8m diving pit

    We train in the deepest pit in the Czech Republic – at Aquapalace Praha in Čestlice. There we have ideal conditions for pool training, and it shows in our divers.

    We don’t end with the course

    With us you can continue – lectures, training sessions, trips, expeditions, follow-on courses. And on top of that, a 10% discount on equipment and other courses.
