SSI Mermaid / 01
You will learn movement with a monofin, submerging, working with buoyancy, equalising pressure and the basics of breath-hold diving safety. Theory is combined with training in the pool and diving pit.

You must be able to swim and be medically fit. Before the course, the school recommends SSI Basic Freediving; it is not issued here as a mandatory entry certification.

Lessons take place at Aquapalace Praha in Čestlice or TJ Sokol Praha Vinohrady. Dates are arranged according to the calendar and agreement; the course runs from two participants.

Ocean Mermaid is a separate extension with two open-water dives. The costs of completing it in Croatia, accommodation, food and transport are not included in the price of the basic course nor automatically part of the upgrade.

What does the lowest price in the e-shop mean?
The product also includes a separate Mermaid to Ocean upgrade. The lowest price therefore does not indicate the price of the entire basic course. Please choose the corresponding option.
Do I need to be able to swim?
Yes, you must be able to swim and be medically fit.
Is Basic Freediving mandatory?
The school recommends it before the course for the basics of safety and breath-hold diving. Please discuss the specific entry readiness with the instructor.
Where and when does the course take place?
Aquapalace Prague in Čestlice or TJ Sokol Vinohrady, depending on the current schedule and agreement. The course opens with two students.
How do I enrol?
Choose a date at divers.cz/rezervace in the appropriate section. You will receive confirmation and organisational information from the school. For certification, create a MySSI account with Divers Direct centre 722162. Participant details and the child’s registration must be arranged with the school.
