Scooter / DPV Diving

In this course you will learn the skills and concepts you need to safely plan and carry out dives using underwater scooters or DPVs. Extended Range Nitrox Diving

The SSI Extended Range Nitrox programme provides a detailed introduction to the principles, techniques and procedures required for planning decompression diving with nitrox. Designed either as a stand-alone programme or as a stepping stone towards the SSI Extended Range diver qualification, this enriched air diving programme provides the basic skills that form the foundation for all future technical programmes. Using either XR Sidemount or the Twinset Total Diving System, this programme prepares divers to plan and carry out limited decompression dives to a maximum depth of 40 metres. In addition, this advanced nitrox diving course teaches techniques and procedures for using breathing gases with up to 100% oxygen for decompression (max. decompression time 15 minutes).

Extended Range Foundations

In the SSI Extended Range Foundations programme, you will learn and improve your diving skills, including the proper selection and assembly of equipment. You will learn more about using technical diving equipment with any total diving system you are certified to use, and build on your existing skills to refine your buoyancy, trim, finning technique, position and communication. The XR Foundation programme provides additional training to existing certifications, thereby increasing your confidence and control in the water. All in-water lessons take place in the diving pit to 8 m and in open water. Upon completing this programme, you will receive SSI Extended Range Foundations certification. You will learn how and why to dive with a twin set configuration, which opens up the horizons of diving on yet another scale.
